Acceptance of These Terms
By purchasing, installing, configuring, updating, or using the Nexus Ultimate Prop Controller, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the controller on behalf of a business, venue, escape room, attraction, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
Product Purpose
The Nexus Ultimate Prop Controller is designed for prop automation, escape room control, show control, and related entertainment or operational uses. It is not a life-safety device, fire-safety device, emergency control system, medical device, security system, or certified industrial safety controller.
You are responsible for deciding whether the controller is appropriate for your installation, environment, electrical load, connected equipment, and intended use.
Installation and Operation
You are solely responsible for safe installation, wiring, mounting, configuration, testing, maintenance, and operation of the controller and anything connected to it. This includes using appropriate power supplies, fuses, wire gauges, enclosures, strain relief, load ratings, isolation, ventilation, and any other protections required by your installation.
You agree not to use the controller in any way that exceeds its documented ratings, violates applicable law, bypasses required safety systems, creates unsafe conditions, or controls equipment where a failure could reasonably cause injury, fire, property damage, or other serious harm.
Connected Equipment and Third-Party Systems
The controller may be connected to locks, relays, sensors, LEDs, audio devices, network equipment, room-control systems, and other hardware or software that Nexus Workshop does not manufacture or control. We are not responsible for the design, behavior, failure, compatibility, safety, or legality of third-party equipment, wiring, software, networks, or installations.
Software, Firmware, and Updates
Firmware, software tools, demos, documentation, and downloads are provided to support use of the controller. We may update, modify, add, remove, or discontinue software features, firmware versions, documentation, demos, or online resources at any time.
You are responsible for backing up configurations, testing updates before use in a live room or production environment, and confirming that your installation continues to operate safely after any change.
Support
We may provide support through email, contact forms, support tickets, community groups, documentation, demos, or other channels. Support guidance is provided for convenience and does not make Nexus Workshop responsible for your installation, wiring, connected equipment, business operations, venue safety, or compliance obligations.
No Guarantee of Continuous Operation
Electronics, software, firmware, networks, power supplies, relays, connected devices, and installations can fail or behave unexpectedly. You are responsible for designing your room, attraction, venue, business process, and safety procedures so that a controller failure, misconfiguration, network interruption, power issue, or connected-device failure does not create unacceptable risk.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the controller, software, firmware, documentation, demos, downloads, and support resources are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, compatibility with every installation, or non-infringement, except for any written warranty expressly provided by Nexus Workshop.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexus Workshop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, lost bookings, room downtime, business interruption, loss of data, loss of goodwill, replacement labor, damage to connected equipment, installation damage, fire damage, property damage, personal injury, or claims arising from your installation, wiring, configuration, maintenance, venue operations, connected equipment, or third-party systems.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, any total liability of Nexus Workshop related to the controller, software, firmware, documentation, downloads, support, or these terms will not exceed the amount you paid directly to Nexus Workshop for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nexus Workshop from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your installation, wiring, configuration, use, misuse, modification, venue operation, connected equipment, third-party system integration, violation of law, or violation of these terms.
Refunds and Replacements
Refunds and replacements are governed by our Refund Policy. In general, software products, digital products, downloads, licenses, and services are not refundable. Defective hardware may be eligible for replacement as described in that policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date. Continued use of the controller, software, firmware, downloads, or support resources after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
