Simple UI
Simple UI is a restricted configuration mode. It is useful when a user needs to edit some values but doesn’t need access to everything, wants a more streamlined and focused view on controls or should be restricted to certain things. The Simple UI when enabled will be what appears when opening Configuration and can have it’s own password, or be left blank. When Simple UI is enabled after accessing it you can click Advanced in the top right where the Admin password will be prompted and needs to be entered (if one is configured). At that point you have access to the complete Configuration page and can make changes to Simple UI as well.
UI path
- Open Configuration.
- Go to Connections.
- Expand Simple UI Setup.
- Enable Simple UI.
- Set a Simple UI password if desired.
- Choose the controls or sections that should be available.
Simple UI versus Operator page
| Page | User | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Operator page | Game master or technician | Run and override the live prop |
| Simple UI | Managers, techs, owners | Edit selected safe configuration values |
| Configuration UI | Builder or admin | Full hardware, behavior, lighting, and system setup |
If someone only needs to run games, use Operator. If they need to change a code or value, use Simple UI. If they need to change how the prop works, use Configuration.
