Sound

Sound setup starts with the hardware module and then adds friendly audio labels for behavior actions.

Display prerequisite

The Audio Files section appears after at least one sound module is configured in Configure > Connections > Inputs, Outputs, and Modules.

Add sound hardware

  1. Open Configuration.
  2. Go to Connections.
  3. Expand Inputs, Outputs, and Modules.
  4. Add the sound module type used by the prop.
  5. Set the module ID.
  6. Configure communication pins, serial settings, or bus fields required by the module.
  7. Apply I/O Changes, the controller will reboot and page will refresh.

Label audio files

  1. Go to Configuration > Definitions.
  2. Expand Audio Files.
  3. Upload Audio Files one at a time or in groups.
  4. Rename files as desired and use the test feature to confirm which track is which.

Trigger playback

  1. Go to Configuration > Behavior.
  2. Add an Operator Control for testing.
  3. Choose a sound action such as play, stop, pause, or volume.
  4. Select the sound module ID.
  5. Select the track label.
  6. Use the step test functions to confirm behavior.

Audio Files

Audio Files must be WAV PCM format, MP3 and other types are not supported. The best settings for export are 16-bit Stereo PCM 22050Hz sampling rate.
